48-year-old Naomi appeals for help to treat her breast cancer

The exigencies of life sometimes place people in a condition where regardless of the financial power will need the benevolence and charitable hearts of others to continue living a regular life. 


Madam Naomi, a native of Suhum in the Eastern Region currently finds herself in the situation stated above and will do with kindness of everyone. 


A breast cancer ailment has rendered madam Naomi impoverished with hopes of finding a permanent cure fading by the minute. 


In February 2022, Miss Naomi sought further checks at the Koforidua Teaching Hospital and according to her, the results of those tests which would have helped her find an early cure, never came. 


She then sought refuge in herbal medicine but the pains did little to go down. She then went to a treatment center and referred to to the Koforidua Teaching Hospital once again. This time around, she got the results and unfortunately for her it was breast stage three breast cancer. 


“I’ve not been attending hospital periodically because I don’t fall Sick but upon  what am going through, am now in between life and death” she cried”


Naomi immediately became ill. She could neither walk not stand and had to be rushed to the hospital again. A referral to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital was made by the doctors after it was discovered that her HP was 3.3, hence the need for immediate surgery. 


She got to Korle Bu only to be told by the management  they were not admitting new cases now, the nurses are still waiting for feedback from the management of Surgical and Emergency unit.


Mr Kankam the husband of affected disease said that his wife cannot do anything , she can’t sleep and she is growing lean which has brought burden to him


“We have suffered, for instance I was on the sick bed for about one and half year, it is my wife who took care of me, even now, I still feel some symptoms, things are out of hands already and now my wife issue our graduate children we can’t support them to further their education, things are worse now” husband lament


Specialists indicate that where the breast is now they need to perform mastectomy and after that she will be put on treatment, they will ensure that they is no sign or trace of cancer anymore in her system and she will be scheduled for reviews periodically to make sure that she stays healthy also they are praying that the cancer does not spread to her blood 


Her family is appealing to sympathizers and benevolent Ghanaians for financial assistance to cure her wife.
