Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh Commences Duties as Minister for Health

 


Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has officially assumed his role as Ghana's Minister for Health, marking the commencement of a new chapter in the collective effort to enhance the health and well-being of Ghanaians. 


President John Dramani Mahama swore in Hon. Akandoh during a ceremony at the Jubilee House on February 10, 2025. 


Hon. Akandoh, a seasoned politician and Member of Parliament for Juaboso Constituency in the Western North Region, brings extensive experience to the Ministry. He has served four terms in Parliament since 2013 and was the ranking member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Health. 


In his new capacity, Hon. Akandoh is expected to lead initiatives aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure, expanding access to quality medical services, and addressing pressing health challenges in the country.


The Ministry of Health has expressed confidence in Hon. Akandoh's leadership, anticipating significant strides in the health sector under his guidance.
