The GNAT Hall near City Campus in Accra came alive on Saturday as women from across Ghana gathered for the 2025 Ghana Women’s Forum, hosted by renowned gender advocate and scholar, Dr. Adeline Baidoo. The forum, themed “Empowering Women of Our Generation,” served as a platform to inspire, educate, and mobilized women for greater participation in leadership, entrepreneurship, and national development.
In her keynote address, Dr. Baidoo emphasized the critical role women play in shaping the future of Ghana, calling for a united front in challenging societal barriers and promoting equality. “Empowerment is not a privilege; it is a right,” she stated. “We must ensure that every woman — regardless of age, background, or status — has the opportunity to rise, lead, and impact her community.”
The forum featured panel discussions, success stories from women entrepreneurs, and breakout sessions focusing on education, health, digital literacy, and policy advocacy. Speakers included prominent figures from academia, civil society, and the private sector, all echoing a shared vision of gender inclusivity and economic empowerment.
Participants praised the event as timely and transformative. “This forum has opened my eyes to what is possible,” said Ama Mensah, a young businesswoman from Kumasi. “I feel more equipped to take charge of my dreams.”
The Ghana Women’s Forum, initiated by Dr. Baidoo, has become a beacon of change, offering mentorship, networking opportunities, and practical tools to equip women for leadership in the 21st century.
The event concluded with a call to action for all stakeholders—government, NGOs, private institutions, and individuals—to support initiatives that uplift women and girls across the country.
