Akufo-Addo Launches Book Documenting Ghana’s Cybersecurity Journey
Former President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has officially launched a new book titled “The Republic: A Professional Journey Ghana’s Cybersecurity and the Making of a Role Model Country.” The event took place on November 25, 2025.
Authored by Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, the publication captures Ghana’s remarkable rise in cybersecurity tracing the nation’s early steps, policy evolution, institutional reforms, and eventual global recognition.
Akufo-Addo commended Dr. Antwi-Boasiako for documenting what he described as a significant national achievement, emphasizing that the book serves as both a historical record and a source of motivation for future leaders, especially young people aspiring to contribute to public service.
Ghana’s consistent performance on the ITU Global Cybersecurity Index, where it has been celebrated as a role model country, forms a central theme of the book, underscoring the nation’s strategic progress in building a secure digital ecosystem.
