Gov’t Considering Increase from GHC 7 to GHC 15 - Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu
The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has revealed that government is actively considering an upward adjustment of the current GHC 7 allocation, proposing an increase to GHC 15.
According to the Minister, the review has become necessary to reflect current economic realities and to ensure that students and schools receive adequate support. He noted that the proposed increment is part of broader measures aimed at strengthening educational delivery and improving welfare across institutions.
Government is expected to engage key stakeholders before finalising the adjustment.
