Minister Confirms Safety and Support for Domestic Violence Victim Harriet Amuzu
The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has confirmed that domestic violence victim Harriet Amuzu is safe and currently receiving full protection. According to the Minister, Harriet’s children are also being supported and cared for as part of the Ministry’s comprehensive intervention.
She further assured the public that the perpetrator is facing the full rigors of the law, emphasizing government’s commitment to ensuring justice and safeguarding the welfare of women and children affected by abuse.
The Ministry says it will continue working with key agencies, including the Police Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), to guarantee the safety and rehabilitation of the family.
