Afronita, Dancer

Matters arising following Afronita’s exit from Dance With Purpose (DWP) Academy.

Popular talented dancer, Danita Akosua Yeboah Adomaah, widely known as Afronita who was a member of Dance With Purpose (DWP) Academy has been in the news for quite some time now. The former DWP Academy signee early this year (January 2024)  parted ways with the academy with an ambition of establishing her own dance academy.

With great determination and perseverance, her dream gracefully came to fruition as the academy was successfully launched on the 14th of April, 2024 – named, Afrostar Kids Academy with many industry players, social media fans, and other colleague dancers in Ghana gracing the occasion.

However,  the absence of her former dance academy members and former manager, Quables created some sort of backlash and many people including the media have tried to read meanings into what really the matter was. In all her media interviews at the launch, one question was akin and remained topmost of the questionnaires “why her former dance group was absent on such an important day in her life and career?”.

Without mincing words, the talented Ghanaian dancer indicated that she did the needful by sending an invitation to the group through her former manager but could not tell what possibly have hindered them from honouring her invitation.

Subsequently, her former manager, Quables came out to deny claims that he intentionally decided not to honour his former signee’s invitation. According to him, he didn’t receive any invitation from Afronita regarding the launch of her academy; thus, ‘AFROSTAR KIDS ACADEMY’.

Meanwhile, Quables revealed that prior to Afronita’s membership of his DWP Academy, he insisted she signed a contractual agreement but his persuasive insistence was an effort in futility as Afronita and her mother could not be cajoled into signing any document of such. Be that as it may,  Quables allowed Afronita to join the academy because he saw potentials in her.

He said he has no problem with his former signee, but it is important for him to clear the air on allegations against him.

It is obvious that Quables is not happy with the turnout of events as he claimed Afronita and her mother have countless times tried to tarnish his image despite unearthing and nurturing Afronita’s talent for five years for which she gained popularity in the world of entertainment.
