Judges Awestruck by Afronita and Abigail’s Performance at Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) Auditions in the UK
Ghanaian talented dancers, Afronita and Abigail mesmerized judges, audience and fans at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions in the United Kingdom (UK). Afronita is a talented dancer, choreographer and the CEO of Afrostar Kids Academy in Ghana. On the other hand, Abigail is a young talented dancer, past contestant and winner of TV3 Talented Kids season 14.
“Abigail is one amazing dancer from Ghana but sadly she was born deaf. She got a hearing aid recently that actually helps her hear a bit. I chanced on a video of Abigail dancing and I got goosebumps all of a sudden. Since then, I took it upon myself to mentor her and also groom her into a better dancer. Disability is not inability and we are here to make Simon Cowell proud”, Afronita said.
The two amazing dancers represented Ghana so well. They took along and displayed the Ghanaian national flag on the audition stage. Cladded in vibrant kente inspired outfits with beautiful designs, the duo took the stage with an electrifying performance that left the audience in awe.
Showcasing their dancing prowess, the talented dancers brought back the spirit of ‘Azonto’ as they danced to popular hit songs such as “Antenna” by British-Ghanaian singer and rapper, Fuse ODG. The audience who were thrilled cheered them on throughout their performance and expressed their satisfaction with a standing ovation including all four judges.
The 7-year-old and 20-year-old gifted dancers could not hold back their joy after the enormous appreciation expressed by the judges and huge audience. All four judges gave them good remarks.
“What you’ve done being a mentor, is just the most wonderful story. When this goes out, I really believe your lives are going to change for the better. This is one of my favorite auditions of the year”, said Simon Cowell.
They got four yeses from the judges.
This is a great achievement for Afronita and Abigail, a clear indication the two are destined to reach greater heights with their dancing talent.
Meanwhile, Afronita has gained immense respect from Ghanaians and many continue to congratulate her for nurturing Abigail despite her disability.
