Seriousness in Fighting Controversies Surrounding Voter Registration Exercise –
Rev. Minister to Police
Methodist
Most Senior Minister, Very Reverend Jubilant Boakye Danquah has called out to
the Ghana Police Service and other security agencies to exhibit seriousness in
fighting against the many controversies surrounding the ongoing Limited Voter Registration
exercise.
Describing
the controversies as nonsense, the former US Military Hospital Chaplain and Methodist
Most Senior Minister jabbed the two main political parties – the NPP and NDC
for taking Ghanaians for granted by allegedly attempting to register foreigners,
and fighting among themselves at the various registration centers.
He
also blames the Electoral Commission (EC) for limiting the registration
exercise to its district offices, a situation he said could pave the way for
the main political parties to manipulate things in their favour.
Touching
on the importance of upholding high moral standards in the country, he urged
the security to descend heavily on fathers and other relatives who continuously
have affairs with their blood minors.
Very
Rev. Jubilant Boakye Danquah however expressed much worries over the rate at
which DNA defilement keeps surging adding that these innocent kids get pregnant
sadly.
