THUGS REPORTEDLY ATTACK YABI COMMUNITY, DESTROYED SEVERAL PROPERTIES
Thugs have reportedly invaded and destroyed several properties in Atwima Yabi community in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region causing fear among the residents.
According to the residents, their lives are currently in dangeras thugs and macho-men are harassing them, and have even mounted barriers at vantage points in the community.
Due to this, residents are unable to go to farm or engage in any socio-economic activities in the community. They explained that the thugs have destroyed their crops and farm items making life unbearable for them.
They are therefore pleading with the authorities to swiftly intervene and tighten security in the community.
Speaking on behalf of Yabihene, Okyeame Asiedu, appealed to the residents to remain calm as they have taken all the necessary steps and have engaged all the stakeholders in the security fraternity for the restoration of peace.
He therefore called on the overlord of Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the government for immediate intervention to save lives and properties.
