The Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama met with people in the creative industry in Kumasi, where he reiterated that he will build a new National Theatre in Kumasi if voted into office, to support content creators in the country, since the current one is in a bad state.
“Since the Chinese built a national film theatre during the Rawlings administration, there has not been a major facelift so you can clearly see that the place is in a poor state. Even when people want to use the place, the poor stature makes it difficult for them”, he said.
The Presidential Candidate noted that he had made this promise in the 2020 election, which he lost, but is still keen on his promise, hence, will see to it that it becomes a reality.
