Veteran Ghanaian actor Mawuli Semevo has tragically passed away at the age of 63. He succumbed to injuries sustained in a domestic fire accident on February 8, 2025. The incident occurred while he was asleep at his residence, resulting in severe burns covering 44% of his body and respiratory injuries.
Mawuli Semevo was renowned for his exceptional performances both on stage and in film. His notable works include movies such as 'Harvest at 17', 'A Stab in the Dark', 'Escape of Love', 'Like Cotton Twines', and 'The Good Old Days: The Love of AA'.
During his hospitalization at Ridge Hospital, colleagues and fans rallied to support him, with fellow actors Ken Fiati and Edinam Atatsi visiting and appealing for financial assistance to aid in his treatment.
Mawuli Semevo's passing is a significant loss to the Ghanaian entertainment industry, and he will be remembered for his contributions to the arts and his dedication to his craft.
