Israeli Authorities Apologise for Deportation Incident, Call for De-escalation - Okudzeto Ablakwa

Israeli authorities have officially apologised for the recent deportation of three Ghanaians, describing the incident as regrettable and avoidable, according to North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The apology follows Ghana’s firm diplomatic response and the subsequent deportation of three Israeli nationals from Accra, a move the government described as a reciprocal action to ensure fairness and respect between both nations.

Ablakwa noted that Israel is now urging calm and cooperation as both countries work to prevent further tension. He revealed that Israeli officials have appealed for “de-escalation and restoration of normal diplomatic engagement,” acknowledging that the earlier actions were unjustified.

The Ghanaian government has indicated its commitment to continuing dialogue, with both sides expressing readiness to strengthen relations and avoid a repeat of such incidents.

This development marks a significant step toward resolving the diplomatic friction and restoring mutual trust.
