Sammy Gyamfi meets Chief of Staff after he was summoned over viral video

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, has reportedly met with the Chief of Staff Julius Debrah today, Monday, May 12, 2025 at the Jubilee House.

The meeting was in response to an urgent summon by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, following a viral circulation of a controversial video in which the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi was seen handing over what appears to be an undisclosed amount of money—reportedly in US dollars—to popular evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng, widely known as Nana Agradaa.

The video has ignited public concern, with many questioning the motive and source of the funds, given Gyamfi’s role in a key national institution. While details remain scarce, the Chief of Staff’s swift response signals the seriousness of the issue and its potential implications for transparency and public trust.

Meanwhile, sources say Mr. Gyamfi left the Presidency around 11:00 a.m. in a remorseful and pensive appearance after the closed-door meeting.

More updates to follow as the story develops.
