AratheJay Pulls Out of Ghana Party in the Park UK 2025

Rising Ghanaian sensation AratheJay has officially withdrew from the much-anticipated Ghana Party in the Park UK 2025, citing concerns over inadequate performance conditions that hindered his ability to deliver at his best.

In a statement shared today on Twitter, the artist explained:

“This decision was not made lightly… the conditions necessary for me to deliver my best performance have not been adequately considered.”

While AratheJay has expressed profound respect for the GPITP platform and its commitment to showcasing Ghanaian talent globally, he emphasized that the decision was rooted in ensuring artistic integrity, not a dismissal of the event. He also extended his well-wishes to the event’s organizers and his fellow performers.

This year’s GPITP is especially notable—it marks the 20th anniversary of the festival and is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Barnet Playing Fields in London  . AratheJay had been one of several headlining artists, alongside industry heavyweights like King Promise, Kweku Smoke, DopeNation, Moliy, Beeztrap KOTM, Cina Soul, and Fuse ODG  .

Organised by Akwaaba UK, the festival this year embraces the theme “20 Years of Reshaping Ghana’s Narrative; The Next Chapter.” Beyond musical acts, it includes cultural showcases such as a fashion exhibition, a food fair, a gaming zone, and the new Expo Ghana business trade segment  .

AratheJay’s departure underscores the importance of logistics—sound quality, stage setup, and overall artist satisfaction—in staging high-profile diaspora events. With only 11 days until curtain-up, this development may trigger last-minute adjustments to the lineup and soundchecks for the event on July 12. Nonetheless, the rest of the star-studded roster remains confirmed.

Arrangements are underway to either bring in a replacement or rearrange set times.

Festival-goers eager to include AratheJay in their itinerary may need to adjust tickets or schedules.

Organizers are expected to issue a public update soon.

Bottom line: With just under two weeks before the 20th-anniversary show, AratheJay’s withdrawal due to unsatisfactory performance conditions is a significant jolt—but the show will go on, and GPITP remains on course for a powerful celebration of Ghanaian culture in London.
