Essikado-Ketan, Ghana – In a bold move to strengthen local security infrastructure, Deputy Health Minister and Member of Parliament for Essikado-Ketan, Prof. Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah, has donated a brand-new patrol vehicle to the Essikado Police Command.
The gesture, she explained, fulfills a campaign promise made to security personnel during her outreach last year. According to Dr. Ayensu Danquah, the donation responds directly to the concerns raised by officers in the constituency who highlighted the need for improved mobility and logistical support to effectively carry out their duties.
Speaking during the official handover ceremony, Dr. Ayensu Danquah emphasized the critical role of security in community development, especially as the government prepares to implement the 24-hour economy policy.
"Security is crucial for any thriving community, and with the upcoming 24-hour economy initiative, it is even more important to ensure our officers are fully equipped to maintain law and order," she stated.
Residents and security officials alike have welcomed the donation, expressing hope that the new patrol vehicle will significantly boost police visibility and response time in the area.
This initiative forms part of the MP's broader efforts to address key development challenges in her constituency, ranging from health and education to security and infrastructure.
