The renowned founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission and Kantanka Automobile, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka has been confirmed dead on on Sunday, September 11, 2025.
Kantanka, the visionary preacher, inventor, and philanthropist passed away peacefully, as announced in a heartfelt statement signed by his daughter, Sarah Adwoa Safo, former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya.
He was born on August 26, 1948, in Bekwai, Ashanti Region, Safo rose from humble beginnings to become a beacon of African ingenuity, establishing the Kristo Asafo Church in 1969 and pioneering local automobile manufacturing through Kantanka Group in 1994.
Dr Dr. Kwadwo Safo’s groundbreaking works in technology, agriculture, and spirituality inspired generations. As the nation reflects on his enduring legacy of self-reliance and empowerment, the detail of funeral arrangements are expected soon.
