Founder & Executive Director, Project Thrive
Stecy is a global health leader, board-certified nurse practitioner, and passionate advocate for sustainable development and social equity. With over a decade of experience in public health, community health, and humanitarian response, she founded Project Thrive to bridge critical resource gaps and empower underserved communities around the world.
As the Founder and Executive Director of Project Thrive, Stecy leads the organization's mission to deliver sustainable solutions in technology, entrepreneurship, energy, health, education,agriculture and community development— with a strong emphasis on equity, inclusion, and long-term impact. Under her leadership, Project Thrive integrates grassroots engagement with evidence-based strategies to improve lives in both rural and urban settings globally.
With advanced degrees in Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and certifications from reputable and accredited institutions the United States, Stecy brings clinical expertise and public health acumen to every initiative. Her field experience spans the United States and West Africa, where she has designed and directed health outreach programs, vaccination campaigns, and educational initiatives.
Project Thrive also reflects her deeply personal commitment to inclusion through its focus on neurodiversity awareness. Drawing on her background in mental health and community education, Stecy has positioned the organization to raise global awareness about neurodivergent conditions and to advocate for supportive environments for individuals with autism, ADHD, and other cognitive differences, through the “I See You Clearly” program. Under the latter, she has carried out Autism and ADHD awareness campaigns in partnership with stakeholders in the US and West Africa.
Prior to launching Project Thrive, Stecy held leadership roles in the public and private sector, where she specialized in emergency response, epidemiology, policy and biotechnology implementation, and stakeholder engagement. She has also served in executive roles for diaspora-led development initiatives, supporting infrastructure and education projects in Cameroon.
Fluent in English and French, and rooted in her African heritage, Stecy brings cultural competence, compassion, intelligence, operational leadership, and an unwavering commitment to human dignity to every facet of Project Thrive.
