2024 BECE BEGINS NATIONWIDE: Over 500,000 Candidates Sitting Exam Across Ghana
The Basic Education Certificate Examination – BECE, has officially commenced across the country, with over five hundred thousand candidates sitting the exit-exams hoping to secureadmission into Senior High School (SHS), a progress on the education ladder.
A visit by Pan African Television’s Stanley Kwabla Arku to the Achimota Compound ‘B’ examination centre, one of the exams centers located in the Okaikwei North Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, where one hundred and fifty-four candidates from five different schools have been centered to take the exams,revealed the level of preparedness of the candidates for the academic and education progress-test.
In total, 2773 candidates are expected to take the BECE examination in the constituency, with each student hoping to excel and secure a bright future through their performance in these exams.
Despite the pressure and anxiety that come with sitting such a crucial examination, some candidates at the Achimota Compound ‘B’ examination centre have expressed optimism about the process so far.
They expressed confidence in their preparation and are determined to give their best effort in each subject.
The Centre Supervisor, Madam Matilda Gyamera, expressed her satisfaction with the turnout of registered candidates, stating that all 154 students showed up for the exams.
She also took the opportunity to remind all candidates to uphold the integrity of the examination process and avoid any form of exam malpractices.
The Achimota Compound ‘B’ examination centre is poised to accommodate candidates from a diverse range of schools, including Destiny Child School, New Life School, Alogboshie 1 Basic School, Alogboshie 2 Basic School, and Victory Gel School.
