Gomoa East: NDC Demands Details of Every Security Personnel Who Will be Deployed to Polling Stations Two Weeks Ahead of Election
The Central Regional Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ekow Panyin OkyereEduamoah, has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to publish the details of every single security personnel who will be deployed to everypolling station two weeks before the general elections on December 7.
In an interview with the media, Mr. Eduamoah referenced some undemocratic past events which took place at some polling stations during the 2020 general elections leading tothe loss of lives of electorates.
In the quest to avert the recurrence of such events in theupcoming 2024 December polls, Mr. Eduamoah called on theInspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to publish the list and details of every single security personnel who will be available at every polling station to the various political parties for easy identification and swift resolution of any unforeseen events.
Mr. Ekow Panyin Okyer Eduamoah made the clarion call during the inauguration of the Volta Diaspora Caucus for the NDC at Gomoa Fette Kakraba in the Gomoa East Constituency in the Central Region.
The Volta Diaspora Caucus is a move aimed at recapturing power for the NDC by winning both presidential and parliamentary seats in the Gomoa East Constituency.
