Final-Year Student Stabbed to Death at O'Reilly Senior High School After Dispute

Tragedy struck at O'Reilly Senior High School on Monday after an 18-year-old final-year student, Edward Borketey Sackey, was fatally stabbed by a fellow student during a fight on campus.

The incident occurred shortly after Edward, a student in the General Arts Department, had finished writing an exam.

According to reports, the altercation began as an argument over whose father is wealthier.

The argument escalated into a physical confrontation between Edward (deceased) and Godwin, a student from the Visual Arts Department.

The fight culminated in Godwin allegedly stabbing Edward three times in the chest.

Speaking to TV3, the father of the deceased recounted how he was first informed about the fight by a cousin.

He immediately drove to the school, but while on his way, he received a follow-up call from the same cousin, informing him that his son had been stabbed and was being rushed to the Lekma Hospital.

Upon arriving at the hospital, the father was met with the devastating news that his son had succumbed to his injuries.

The doctor confirmed that Edward had died from the three stab wounds.

As of now, both the school authorities and the police have yet to issue any official statements regarding the incident, leaving the family and the school community in shock and grief.

Further details are expected as investigations continue.
