President Maham To Deliver His First State Of The Nation Address On Thursday February 27, 2025

President John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to deliver his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday, February 27, 2025, as confirmed by Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga.

This address will provide President Mahama with an opportunity to outline his administration's policy direction and update the nation on the current state of affairs. Given the ongoing International Monetary Fund (IMF) support program, it is anticipated that the President will address key issues such as economic recovery efforts, energy sector challenges, public sector reforms, and infrastructure development.

The SONA is a constitutional requirement that allows the President to inform Parliament and the public about the government's plans and priorities for the year ahead. This upcoming address marks a significant moment in President Mahama's second term, as it sets the tone for his administration's legislative agenda and policy initiatives.

Following the SONA, Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson is expected to present the 2025 budget to Parliament on March 11, 2025. This budget will outline the government's fiscal policies and spending priorities for the year.

The SONA and subsequent budget presentation are crucial events that will provide insights into the government's strategies for addressing the nation's challenges and promoting sustainable development.
