Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah Delivers Compassion Beyond Politics

In a gesture that underscores service beyond party lines, Deputy Health Minister and MP for Essikado-Ketan, Hon. Dr. Prof. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, handed over two wheelchairs to beneficiaries during her "Free Orthopedic Screening and Surgery" program on Saturday, August 23, 2025. The event, organized under the DR GRACE AYENSU DANQUAH FOUNDATION, focused on empowering persons with disabilities who face mobility challenges due to tumors, fractures, contractions, scars, and related conditions.

The two recipients, Nana Aisha and Comfort Parker, residents of Bakado and Anoe respectively, were visibly moved as they accepted the assistive devices. Family members and local constituents who witnessed the presentation described the moment as a powerful reminder that care and compassion can transcend political divides.

In an interaction with Multicdb News, the families of Nana Aisha and Comfort Parker along with other residents praised the initiative, noting that the program’s impact reaches beyond medical care to touch the broader fabric of the community. They highlighted that the assistance provided through wheelchairs would enhance mobility, independence, and overall quality of life for the beneficiaries.

Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah emphasized that the act of handing over the wheelchairs was more than a charitable gesture it was a demonstration of a deep, sustained commitment to improving lives inside hospital walls and out in the community. She noted that the foundation’s work aims to complement health services by ensuring that patients have access to essential mobility aids that support rehabilitation and daily living.

The presentation drew attention to the broader objectives of the Free Orthopedic Screening and Surgery program, which seeks to identify and address orthopedic needs, provide necessary interventions, and extend care to underserved communities. Attendees described the event as a shining example of leadership that prioritizes people over politics.

As the Foundation continues its outreach, organizers say further screenings and assistance programs are on the horizon, with hopes of expanding the reach to more individuals facing mobility challenges. The moment with Nana Aisha and Comfort Parker serves as a emblematic highlight of the initiative: a community rallying around care, compassion, and practical support for those who need it most.
