Shatta Wale Calls for Unity and Change in Ghana’s Music Industry Narrative

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has shared a strong message to the entertainment industry, urging artistes, media houses, and fans to stop the constant comparisons among musicians and focus on discipline, hard work, and progress.

In a passionate statement, he said, “Any artiste in Ghana can also do what I did at the Independence Square with discipline and hard work. Please, let us stop comparing us the artistes me, I’m tired of these time-wasting statements. I only came to show every youth the road and that ‘IMPOSSIBLE GO TURN POSSIBLE.’”

The “1Don” hitmaker emphasized the need for a shift in attitude across the creative space, calling on media houses, bloggers, TV and radio presenters, fans, artistes, and pundits to help reshape the narrative surrounding Ghanaian music.

“It’s time for us to change the narratives. TIME NO DEH 🥂👑,” he declared, reminding the industry that the world is watching how Ghanaian media and artistes conduct themselves.

Shatta Wale further cautioned against undermining his message, urging all stakeholders to “learn from the job and that should be that.”
