Arrest MP For Kwadaso, Kingsley Nyarko For Bribing EC Officials At Ejisu – A Group Urges IGP
A group calling itself Conscience of the Nation (CON) has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to immediately arrest the MP for Kwadaso, Kingsley Nyarko for bribing the Electoral Commission (EC) officials in Ejisu in the full glare of the general public.
The group believes that for an MP who formulates laws to regulate the conduct of citizens, it is highly reprehensible that he will be the one to flout the laws of the land.
The group further called on the Electoral Commission not to stop only at sacking the two officials involved as their release suggests but also hand them over to the police for further interrogation.
The group is also learning that the two EC officials involved are known NPP members who were recruited by the Electoral Commission to aid in the rigging strategy of the party.
They said they cannot tell the number of EC officials who have been bribed in Ejisu to rig the elections for the NPP.
They added, that the actions of the MP mares the outcome of the elections and will be difficult for the EC to convince Ghanaians that the true will of the people of Ejisu is what they will be declaring.
The leader of the Group, Maxwell Adams Mahama is of the view that anything short of what they are calling for will bring the election results into disrepute.
