CLOGSAG To Call Off Strike Action.

The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana(CLOGSAG) has called off the strike action which began on November 7,2024.

The strike was due to the government’s delay in finalizing a new salary structure.

This was after the high court ordered the call off.

“It is hereby ordered that the Respondent, their Executive Officers, Members, Agents, Servant, Employees and other Persons to restrain from further continuation of their strike action from 7th November,2024.

It is hereby further ordered that the Respondent by itself, its Executives, Officers, Members, Agents, Servants, Employees and other Persons are to comply with the directives of the National Labour Commission dated 6th November, 2024 and call off the industrial action.”

The National Labour Commission(NLC) obtained an injunction against the strike, hence, the call off.

“By an order of an injunction dated 3rd November, 2024, the National Labour Commission (NLC) secured an ex-parte injunction requiring CLOGSAG to call off the strike and further restraining the members of CLOGSAG from continuing with the strike.

Therefore, with immediate effect, CLOGSAG has called off the strike.

“Being a law-abiding Association, CLOGSAG has taken into cognisance the injunction order. CLOGSAG hereby calls off the strike with immediate effect. CLOGSAG has decided to call off the strike due to its utmost respect for the Court and the laws of Ghana. All members are entreated to report to work. CLOGSAG assures members of its unrelenting efforts of ensuring better conditions of service for all.”
