Interior Ministry Lifts Curfew on Bole Township and Surrounding Communities
The Ministry of the Interior has officially lifted the curfew imposed on Bole Township and its surrounding areas, effective 9 December 2025. The decision marks a significant step toward restoring normalcy after months of heightened security measures aimed at preventing violence and maintaining public order.
According to the Ministry, the review leading to the curfew’s removal was informed by improved security assessments, active collaboration between traditional authorities, and sustained peace efforts by community leaders and security agencies. These joint interventions have contributed to a more stable environment, allowing residents to return fully to their daily economic and social activities without restrictions.
The Interior Ministry expressed appreciation to the people of Bole and local stakeholders for their cooperation and commitment to peace, emphasizing that maintaining harmony remains a shared responsibility. Security agencies will, however, continue to monitor the area to ensure lasting stability.
The lifting of the curfew brings relief to residents who have endured limited movement and restricted business hours, offering a chance for the community to rebuild and thrive again.
