Ghana’s Movie Industry Not Dead; Only Needs Global Standard Elevation – Efo Gassor
Contrary to popular opinion, Ghana’s movie industry is not in a state of collapse or facing significant challenges, says renowned Ghanaian actor, Jordan Elikem Adewualor, popularly known as EfoGassor.
According to him, the industry is experiencing a period of growth and digital transformation instead, which demands a higher standard of quality from its players.
Efo Gassor emphasises that the industry requires a collective effort from producers, directors, executive producers, and other stakeholders to cooperate and adhere to industry standards during production.
In essence, the industry is not struggling, but rather, it is challenging its players to step up and produce high-quality content that meets the demands of the digital age.
This means moving away from mediocrity and focusing on creating excellent movies that showcase the talents of Ghanaian filmmakers.
In a separate revelation, Efo Gassor also accused several music artistes, including Shatta Wale, Kwabena Kwabena, Nero X, and others of stealing songs from him. This allegation highlights the need for greater respect and recognition of intellectual property rights within the entertainment industry.
