Dr. Bawumia, the Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, has launched an exciting initiative to modernize Ghana's transportation sector.
He has commissioned electric buses (EVs) that will begin test operations this week, aiming to reduce public transportation costs by 40-50%.
As part of this initiative, over 100 head porters have been trained to drive these electric buses, providing them with new skills and employment opportunities.

The commissioning event, held on November 27, 2024, was a memorable occasion, with one of the trained head porters taking the Vice President on a ride through Accra.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized the government's commitment to promoting sustainable transportation and improving human development.
This initiative has received widespread praise from Ghanaians, and it's a significant step towards transforming the country's transportation sector.
