YEA Sends Second Cohort of 25 Ghanaian Beneficiaries to the UAE as Professional Drivers

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has successfully dispatched its second cohort of 25 Ghanaian beneficiaries to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to begin work as professional drivers, marking another milestone in the agency’s efforts to create sustainable job opportunities for young people.

This initiative forms part of YEA’s international employment partnership programme, designed to equip Ghanaian youth with employable skills and connect them to reputable job opportunities abroad. The beneficiaries underwent rigorous screening and comprehensive training covering defensive driving, customer service, safety protocols, and international work ethics before departure.

According to YEA officials, the UAE partners have expressed high satisfaction with the professionalism and performance of the first batch of recruits, paving the way for more Ghanaian youth to secure well-structured employment in the region. The programme is expected to expand further as more vetted applicants complete the required training.

The CEO of YEA reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to providing decent jobs for young Ghanaians, both locally and internationally, while ensuring the welfare and protection of all beneficiaries throughout the process.

Families of the beneficiaries gathered at the send-off ceremony, expressing both excitement and optimism about the life-changing opportunities ahead.

The successful deployment of this second cohort strengthens Ghana’s presence in the UAE’s logistics and transport sector and demonstrates YEA’s growing reputation as a reliable facilitator of international employment.
